Why this exists
I spent years as an engineer, then years as an engineering manager, and the dashboards never fit either seat. Engineer-facing tools ignored the people side of the job entirely. Manager-facing tools treated engineers like a spreadsheet: rank them, alert on them, done.
GnomeMetrics is built to be useful from both chairs: the one writing the code, and the one trying to help the team writing it work a little better. That's the whole pitch. Built by engineers, for engineers, including the ones who now spend more of their week in a calendar than an IDE.
A few things you won't find on this site: growth-hack blog posts, a stock photo of people high-fiving at a whiteboard, or a promise that your team will ship 31% faster. I don't know your team. I do know what it's like to sit through a retro that could've been three Slack messages.
